Abstract

Purpose: Regulation of laws for people with disabilities and people injured at work suggests an ideal and consequential service delivery system with physical health promotion including rehabilitation, therapeutic (rehabilitation) exercise, rehabilitation sports, sports for all, and elite sports. While physical health promotion in older adults are related to health insurance, long-term care, and sports for all, provided by individualized insurance or social support system, the systemic delivery services in rehabilitation, physical activity, or sports for older adults based on their health condition are limited (Cho, 2020). Therefore, we conducted conceptual exploration regarding service delivery systems based on health conditions in older adults to expand life expectancy. Methods: Keywords were selected and searched in older adults, elderly, seniors, patients, people with disability; target: people with disabilities in search engines, people who were injured at work, rehabilitation, physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, rehabilitation sports, sports for all, elite sports, physical activities for older adults, service, the process of use, delivery system. The conceptual similarity in the service delivery system with physical health promotion in older adults, people with disabilities, youth athletes, and elite athletes was found. Results and Discussion: The conceptual application of the delivery system in physical health promotion was used similarly. The consequence of the delivery system, including rehabilitation, therapeutic (rehabilitation) exercise, rehabilitation sports, sports for all, and elite sports, was not different between older adults, people with disabilities, youth athletes, and elite athletes. Significantly, additional legal policy regarding the delivery system in physical health promotion service for people with disabilities and people injured at work increase the biased conceptual meaning regarding the service delivery system of physical health promotion. However, it is considered that the ideal service delivery system in physical health promotion is applied only to people with disabilities and people injured at work. Therefore, to improve physical health promotion in older adults, the concept of the delivery system in physical health promotion, focusing on people with disabilities and people injured at work, should be expanded to older adults, expecting longer life expectancy.
